A new Barbara Nicholls exhibition is due to open at Walsall’s New Art Gallery today (11th August).

Her art work includes mostly watercolour’s and uses themes of geology, mapping and topography.

Nicholls says:

“The first time I set foot in The New Art Gallery Walsall, I instinctively wanted to exhibit my work there.

“It was a combination of responding to the architecture of the gallery and to the curation of the Richard Long exhibition I had come to see.

“This is the first time this many of my works have been seen together which is a great opportunity.”

The exhibition is free and runs until 19th November.

There is a special free preview on Thursday 21st September 6-8pm.
