Passengers travelling through Birmingham New Street Station will be given information on how they could play a part in saving lives. Volunteers from the Samaritans will be highlighting the charity’s Small Talk Saves Lives campaign on Saturday (25th February). It comes after figures revealed 50% of people in the West Midlands said they wouldn’t feel confident approaching and speaking to someone in public if they were concerned about their welfare. A business group in Birmingham says it is “evolving” in bid to provide opportunities in more international markets. From 1st April, the Greater Birmingham Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce will become the Greater Birmingham Global Chamber of Commerce (GBGCC). The move was unveiled at the organisation’s global trade conference at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
