West Midlands Trains – which operates the West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern brands – has invested in Recite Me technology.

The tool allows online visitors to opt to use accessibility tools including a screed reader, translation and styling.

Peter Williamson, accessibility strategy and projects manager, at West Midlands Trains, said: “We are so happy to have made this extremely important change to both our West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway websites.

“Ensuring that we offer a customer journey that is more inclusive and accessible is something of high importance to us.

“After investing in the tool earlier this year and spending some time trying and testing the features to make sure they run effectively – we’re thrilled to see it up and running.”
