    Motorcyclist from Birmingham dies in Drayton Bassett crash

    A motorcyclist from Birmingham has died in a crash near Tamworth.

    The 25-year-old was riding a blue Suzuki GSX-R bike on theA4091 at the junction with Salts Lane in Drayton Bassett at 11am today (July 19th) when he was involved in a collision with a Citroen Relay van.

    A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: “Sadly, despite the efforts of paramedics and members of the public, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Specialist officers are working with his family.

    “The 47-year-old van driver was treated for minor injuries by ambulance staff at the scene.

    “An investigation by Staffordshire Police’s Collision Investigation Unit is underway.”

      The police are not working with his family. We haven’t even been contacted by the police once!! We have chased all day and no-one has bothered call back. Absolutely disgusting
