Seventeen green spaces in Birmingham have been named among the best in Britain.
Sites across the city have been awarded Green Flag status, including Kings Norton Park which collected the accolade for the first time.
Fourteen other parks retained their awards, as did Sutton Coldfield Crematorium and Kings Norton Cemetery.
Councillor Lisa Trickett, cabinet member for clean streets, recycling and environment at Birmingham City Council, said: “I am delighted that so many of Birmingham’s green spaces have yet again been recognised for their exceptionally high standards with these prestigious Green Flag awards – including Kings Norton Park, which now brings the number of Green Flag parks in Birmingham up to 15.
“Our parks and green spaces are part of what makes our city so great and are essential to our quality of life, whether they are encouraging people to get active, fit and healthy, or simply providing a peaceful space for quiet reflection and remembrance.
“These awards are a testament to the hard work of our officers, community groups and volunteers, who all play a vital role in keeping our green spaces well maintained for the benefit of all who use them.”
