A pensioner has been taken to hospital after crashing as he drove out of a multi-storey car park in Solihull.
The man’s car collided with a concrete pillar in the Mill Lane site at 12.15pm today (August 10th).
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “When crews arrived, they found a car that had a ‘bullseye’ fracture on the windscreen. There was a concern that the 83-year-old had also been knocked unconscious briefly.
“He had suffered serious facial injuries and was also suffering from chest pain. He was assessed and had his condition stabilised by ambulance staff at the scene.
“The man was given pain relief before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for specialist care.”
