The impact of India’s independence on the lives of people in Birmingham will be explored at a screening of a documentary in the city.
Desiblitz will be shown in the events room at the Ikon Gallery from August 8th to 20th.
A spokesperson said: “The film will highlight the memories and impact independence made on the Indian and Pakistani population already in Britain and those who decided to take up British residency.
“It also shows what today’s British Asian population understand about the history of the decision and the effect it had on their own families.”
