A business group in Birmingham says it is “evolving” in bid to provide opportunities in more international markets.
From 1st April, the Greater Birmingham Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce will become the Greater Birmingham Global Chamber of Commerce (GBGCC).
The move was unveiled at the organisation’s global trade conference at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
President of the new GBGCC, Mark Smith, told delegates: “We need to evolve to allow great opportunities to members including all countries and so we will enhance the Commonwealth chamber division to incorporate further markets for the purpose of bi-lateral trading opportunities.
“This will add great value to the division and as an existing member the benefits to you expand across the globe, not just the Commonwealth.”
