The second highest group of sufferers with long COVID work in teaching or education according to new data from the Office for National Statistics. 3 out of every 100 people working in the teaching and education sector are suffering with self-reported long COVID in the four week period ending 6 December 2021 according to the data. Rising global temperatures have been linked to an increase of blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes patients from research at De Montfort University Leicester.Dr Abdullah Alghamdi, analysed diabetes patients records at a hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia over six years and found that for every 1°C rising in temperature, the average blood sugar level in patients rose by 0.007%.
