Aston Villa are set to add Hull City’s Ahmed Elmohamady to their ranks.
The club are believed to have met a release clause of around £1million in the Egyptian international’s contract with the Tigers.
Reports in Hull say Elmohamady left the club’s training camp in Portugal to complete formalities on the move.
The 29-year-old has made 218 appearances for the Tigers – and would face his former team-mates on the opening day of the Championship season if he completes the switch to B6.
