Aston Villa could lock horns with former striker Rudy Gestede after being drawn to face Middlesbrough in the next round of the Carabao Cup.
Steve Bruce’s men booked their place with victory over Wigan and will now entertain their Championship rivals in the third round.
The game, which will take place on September 19th, will see them face a Boro side who have won two and lost two of their Championship games so far.
Gestede, who joined the Teeside outfit from Villa last season, has been the subject of interest from Leeds United, but reports in Middlesbrough suggest the club have no desire to sell the target man.
