Aston Villa say they have agreed a deal to sign striker Jhon Duran.

The 19-year-old currently turns out for Chicago Fire, scoring eight goals in 27 appearances for the MLS club.

In a statement, Aston Villa said: “The deal is subject to the player passing a medical, agreeing personal terms and obtaining the necessary work visa.”

If the move is finalised, Duran would become Unai Emery’s second signing as Villa boss, with full-back Alex Moreno joining from Real Betis.
