A female cyclist involved in a crash in Edgbaston has died.

West Midlands Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident involving a lorry at the junction of Pershore Road and Edgbaston at 4pm yesterday (October 10th).

The 32-year-old cyclist died at the scene.

Sergeant Alan Wood, from the West Midlands Police Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This investigation is in its early stages and we are trying to establish exactly what happened.

“We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision who hasn’t yet spoken to us to get in touch.

“Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who lost her life. We have specialist officers are supporting them at this difficult time.”
