An appeal for information has been launched by police after a passenger on a motorbike died after a crash in Moseley.

The incident happened on Yardley Wood Road at 8.30pm on 17th October.

The 18-year-old was a passenger on a bike when it was involved in a crash with a car.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “The teenager was initially picked up by another vehicle and taken away, before arriving at hospital with serious injuries.

“He passed away at the weekend and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this distressing time – we’re doing all we can to support them during this time of grief.

“Another 18-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries which were not life-threatening. The driver of a Ford Fiesta remained at the scene and is helping with our enquiries.

“We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area around the time and has not spoken to us already. We’re particularly interested in seeing any dashcam footage.”

Anyone with information can contact police on 101, quoting incident 4181 of 17th October.
