    A 93-year-old woman dies after being hit by a bus in Birmingham

    Police are investigating after a 93-year-old woman was killed following a collision in Bearwood yesterday.

    The woman was in Poplar Road, Bearwood at around 5pm, when she was hit by a bus. She suffered severe injuries before being taken to hospital where she was later pronounced dead. She is not being identified at this stage.

    The family of the lady have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

     

    Poplar Road in Bearwood is closed while we are investigating after a woman died after being hit by a bus earlier this afternoon. Motorists are advised to avoid the area— Sandwell Police (@SandwellPolice) 22 January 2018


    Anyone who witnessed the collision should call West Midland Police on 101.
