A man is in critical condition in hospital after being attacked in a Birmingham street.
Police say the 23-year-old was attacked by two men in a passing car on Alcester Road South in Maypole at 4.40pm yesterday (19 September)
Two people aged 21 and 22 – from Kings Heath and Yardley Wood – have surrendered to police and been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Superintendent Ed Foster from Birmingham West Police Unit, said: “The victim suffered a serious head injury and an associated bleed on the brain, he is in a critical condition in hospital.
“We’re starting to build up a picture of what happened and what led up to the assault but we really need anyone who witnessed the altercation to get in touch.”
