Thousands of animal lovers will be heading for Birmingham this weekend for the National Pet Show.

Taking place at the NEC on 3rd and 4th November, the show is expected to attract more than 25,000 visitors.

This year’s event will also see experts from charities trying to pair up guests with potential pets.

A spokesperson said: “With over 250,000 animals entering UK rescue centres every year, the Big Rehoming Challenge will give people the chance to come face to face with pets they may not have considered previously, including cats, rabbits and even chickens.

“Hosted by TV’s Michaela Strachan, the barn will feature real pets looking for adoption right now, plus details of many more available.”

The event will also feature displays and talks from animal experts.

Tickets are available online.
