Southern regions of England receive a bigger share of grants for installing electric charging devices than the rest of the country, according to the analysis made by Birmingham Eastside.
The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) has funded nearly £90 million to set up more than 230,000 domestic charging devices since 2013 according to the government data. However, the analysis reveals a contrasting distribution of these installations per household among the regions of the UK.
In addition to the north-south divide, the countries of Scotland, Wales and Northern Irland have fewer installations on average compared to England.
