Rihanna says she is taking time out for the rest of the year to find a ‘balance’ to her work and private lives, while reaching out to family and friends asking to be forgiven for her lack of response to their messages.

Rihanna posted a selfie of her pouting last week, announcing that she has had an ‘overwhelming’ year.

The global superstar and entrepreneur, who has an estimated net worth of $600 million, has focused her year on many of her business interests: her beauty line, Fenty Beauty, lingerie brand, Savage X Fenty and the launch of her fashion line Fenty early this Spring.

I’m working on that ish called balance.

The 31 year old, rose to fame in 2007, after the release of her single ‘Umbrella’ with rapper Jay-Z. The singer achieved a total of 14 Number 1 singles, on the US Billboard Hot 100, before venturing into the business and fashion worlds.

Rihanna has since been labelled a style icon and makeup entrepreneur after launching her own fashion and beauty brands. With Forbes listing her as ‘the wealthiest female musician in the world’, behind the likes of Madonna and Beyoncé.

Her brands embrace diversity in the world today. Fenty Beauty gained any army of global supporters in the beauty industry after releasing 40 shades of foundation, for many different skin tones, on their first ever launch back in September 2017. The brand have now expanded their shade range to 50.

The entrepreneur was featured on the cover of Vogue magazine in October, ahead of the launch of her new book – ‘RIHANNA’. The book (on sale for £105 RRP) is a visual autobiography, including many unpublished photos from her childhood in Barbados to her worldwide tours, from iconic fashion moments to private time with her friends and family.

Rihanna shared her excitement on Twitter, to be on the front page of Vogue’s October issue.

Many of Ri-Ri’s fans are waiting for the singer to release new music, since her last release of album, Anti, in 2016. In the summer, rumours surfaced but she’s never confirmed them.

Rihanna’s last single, ‘Needed Me’, released in April 2016.

For now, fans will have to watch out for any comments Rihanna might make on her social media accounts over Christmas, with hopes her new music is set to be released in 2020.
