A 27 -year-old masters graduate has teamed up with his mum to open a new takeaway business in Northampton.
Yasser Osman and his mother – known as Yuma, which means grandmother in Arabic – work closely together to sell fresh and delicious Middle Eastern & East African foods.
The pair first began selling from the kitchen of their three bedroomed home in the Upper Mounts area. However due to increase in customers have had to move to a fully equipped kitchen on Talbot Road, where they open from Tuesday to Sunday.

The Business
People can order through Instagram DMs. They can collect from the kitchen or get a delivery.
All the ingredients are locally sourced, and meat is grounded in-house, with everything made to order making them unique to other takeaways in the area.
The Menu
Yuma’s kitchen also offer a vegan option with their vegetarian falafel burger and a falafel filled rice box. They also sell small glazed doughnut bites that can be topped with Nutella, Biscoff or white chocolate.

”It was a start up business so bookkeeping wasn’t something I thought about too much, my main aim was to create a brilliant and consistent brand. Now we are in a position where we have to implement all business practises in and its proving to be tricky,’’ said Yasser.
