The richest ten percent of households held almost half of the total wealth in Great Britain in the two years to 2020, according to new data.

The data released on Thursday by Office of the National Statistics (ONS) found a widening gap between the rich and the poor in terms of wealth.

The poorest 50 percent held only 9 percent wealth in the same period, presenting  “unevenly distributed” wealth among individuals in Great Britain, the ONS said.
