Navratri, the grand festival of “Nine Nights” is going virtual this year.

Culminating on Sunday 25 October, the festival is one of the two major festivals for the Hindu community, the other being Diwali (Festival of Lights).

“Normally we host up to a thousand people daily in our temple for Navratri”, said a spokesperson for the Shree Hindu Community Centre in Birmingham. “We’ll still be lighting the fire and performing ceremonies this year, but only in groups for six.”
