An author whose mother was affected by Parkinson’s disease has published a book about his family’s journey and decided to use his book “Who Stole Grandma?” to raise money for charity.

The heart warming book has helped Mark Lanyon to raise £3000 in less than a month.

Till the end of July the author is planning to donate all of the earnings from paperback sales and 50% of earnings from ebooks to Parkinson’s UK. Mark did not expect to raise such amount of money in such short time, the author says:

”£3000 is a very long way past what I was aiming for. I was hoping to reach £200 through my earnings from selling ‘Who Stole Grandma?’ as an e.book or paperback on Amazon.  My ‘dream target’ was £500, but I didn’t dare put that on my Just Giving page.”
