Two footballers from Coventry United and Birmingham City have received call-ups for the upcoming women’s international break.
Olivia Clark and Hannah Hampton have been selected for the Wales and England squads, respectively.
Coventry United keeper Olivia Clark, 18, is recalled to the Welsh squad having missed out on the squad during last months 1-0 defeat to Norway.
Wales face the Faroe Islands and Norway in two crucial Euro 2022 qualifying matches.
Elsewhere, Birmingham City goalkeeper, Hannah Hampton, was named in Phil Neville’s England squad for the upcoming international break.
Hampton, who kept a clean sheet in City’s 1-0 win against Reading on Sunday, will be hoping to play against Germany in the Lionesses first international challenge since March.
Speaking to the media about his squad selection, England manager Neville said: “It’s exciting to be facing top-class opposition again after such a long lay-off since the SheBelieves Cup earlier this year.
“Germany are currently ranked second in the world so there’s no doubt it will be a tough test for us, but a vital one as we measure our progress against one of the best teams in the world.”
