People living with autism were “left stranded” during this pandemic.

According to a recent report published by the National Autistic Society, they were seven times more likely to experience chronic lonliness and six times more likely to report lower life satisfaction, compared to the neuro-typical population.

The NAS are calling on the government to create an action plan to protect the 700,000 autistic people in the country from future waves of the virus.

In this podcast, we speak to charities, academics and people on the spectrum, to try and understand just how this pandemic has disproportionately affected autistic people.
