    INFOGRAPHIC: Birmingham’s porn viewing habits

Kim Kardashian, Mia Khalifa and Madison Ivy are Birmingham’s favourite stars when it comes to porn, according to information obtained from the world’s most popular sex site.

BirminghamEastside has obtained data from Pornhub which shows just what users in the city have been doing on the site since the start of the year – and there are some interesting differences from the UK as a whole.

For example, the UK’s most popular porn star Lisa Ann comes below 3 other performers when it comes to Birmingham viewers.

And only half of the most-searched phrases in the country appear in Birmingham’s top ten.

There are some curious quirks in the data: for example, it says that 78% of Pornhub users in the city are female, highly unlikely to be true when global statistics put the figure at just 24%.

Spokesman Mike Williams says that the gender split is based on cookie data which could not be regarded as reliable:

“The data is completely anonymized and comes through our third party traffic analytics tool. It makes certain gender and age assumptions based on their web browsing and search interests [for example looking at female based sites, searches or products].”

The UK had the third most views per person on the site last year: only Canada and the US have more. Explore our infographic below to find out more:
