Jude Bellingham has been called up to the senior England squad for the first time after Trent Alexander-Arnold and James Ward-Prowse withdrew through injury.

Bellingham was originally called up to the U21 squad but is now in line to earn his first England cap in the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against Belgium and Iceland.

If Bellingham plays in either of those fixtures he will become the third youngest ever player to represent England, after Wayne Rooney and Theo Walcott.

The 17 year-old only made his Birmingham debut in August 2019 and made 44 appearances that season before signing for Borussia Dortmund in the summer, in a deal that could be worth £30million.

Blues congratulated their academy graduate on Twitter:

England play Ireland in a friendly on Thursday before heading off to Brussels to face Belgium on Sunday.
