Taking place at The Night Owl on 6th November, Black Arts Appreciation will showcase everything form visual arts, to rap performers and musicians.

Organisers Art of Identity said it was important to highlight the cultural significance of black performers and creators.

A spokesperson said: “The event aims to provide a platform for young black creatives featuring performances by musicians, dancers, spoken word artists and an art exhibition showcasing work of visual artists.

“This is our first time bringing the event to Birmingham, so an audience of around 150-200 would be great.”

Black History Month is held annually in the UK and sees events held across the country.

Art of Identity have previously held similar events in Leicester.

“It will be our second time hosting in Leicester and we have sold out both years, so we are hoping to have the same success in Birmingham.”

Tickets for the night are available online.
