During October, two very special events are set to take place at Deadwax in Digbeth to celebrate black musicians.

The events are in partnership with Girl Grind UK & Birmingham Promoters to provide a space to celebrate and showcase artists in Black History Month.

Both events will have measures in place to help adhere to social distancing and other government guidelines, such as ending at 10pm and not mixing households.

Samantha Daly, Birmingham Promoter said events like these are crucial.

“It’s important to celebrate the diversity that fills Birmingham, especially in light of recent events everyone needs to be taking action to ensure that there’s a more equal level of representation and opportunities for people of the BAME communities.

“This is one of the reasons why we’ve partnered with Girl Grind UK on this one, a brand new charity that’s focussed on increasing opportunities for females in these groups.”

Tickets available to purchase now, for more information visit Birmingham Promoters website and also check out their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages
