Ahead of the Christmas period, and with Birmingham in lockdown, our special Facebook Live brought a focus on small businesses in the area this lunchtime.

We speak to Lucy Elvin from Birmingham Museums who along with her colleagues set up the Virtual Christmas Gifts Market.

We also hear from Levene Brown of Crafted Preserves; Sally Harper of Sharper Arts BT; Amelia Demiral of amdemdesigns; and Sheila Taft – all of whom are running small businesses in the area.

Imran Akhtar a Senior Lecturer in Strategy and Management at the Birmingham City Business School at BCU, also joins us to talk about the area of self-employment; while he will also talk personally about testing positive for Coronavirus recently.

    Watch the livestream here.
