Birmingham shoppers have given a thumbs up to the opening of new Greggs café in Primark.

The world’s biggest Primark opened the new Greggs 130-seat café this weekend, found on their mezzanine level of their Birmingham Branch.

The venue offers a wide range of food from their sausage rolls to their cheese bakes, alongside hot food and drinks.

The café also showcases decorated booths and sprinkle floor stickers and a doughnut-shaped swing.

Other features include neon signs, a picnic area, a refillable water station, a white phone box and a self-serve coffee cart.

Both brands took to social media to announce the grand opening using #GreggsandPrimark.

Reacting to the grand opening, @chellierocks tweeted: “Mmmmm, yummy!!! What a great idea! 😍”

Also showing excitement, @xjessAniston tweeted: “omg stop it 🤩 This is absolutely Britain in a single brand tbh!”.

When asked what they thought about the café a customer replied: “It’s literally the best place to take pictures, the atmosphere is a vibe and we’re definitely going to be coming here a lot.”

Some customers were not please with the collaboration: “Not looking forward to getting home and seeing that someone’s touched the clothes I’ve bought with cheese bake fingers.”

Another customer also said the café opening makes the atmosphere “too busy and too noisy.”

Greggs and Primark have also announced they are to launch a clothing line on February 19.

The cafe will open between Monday to Saturday, from 8am-9pm, and on Sunday from 10.30am-5pm.
