The daily schedule for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham has been released, confirming which sports will be held on each of the 11 days of competition.

The games, running from Thursday 28th July – Monday August 8th, will feature 19 sports in total and include eight para-sports, making it the biggest para-sports offering in Commonwealth Games history.

    Great idea, @thecgf!

Swimming and Diving will feature every day at the brand new Sandwell Aquatics Centre, currently under construction in Smethwick, along with Badminton and Table Tennis at the National Exhibition Centre.

The NEC itself will be busy, hosting several events including Boxing and Weightlifting. At Resorts World Arena, Team England Netball will be hoping to repeat what they did back at the Gold Coast 2018, winning the gold medal in dramatic style with the last shot of the game.

Coventry Stadium is to host three sports, Rugby Sevens, Judo and Wrestling. This packed schedule, will see action on eight out of 11 days, the same as T20 Cricket at Edgbaston Stadium and Gymnastics at Arena Birmingham.

The first day kicks things off in style with 14 different sports, including 3×3 Basketball at Smithfield in the centre of Birmingham, Cycling at Lee Valley VeloPark in London and Hockey and Squash at the University of Birmingham, which was unveiled last month as a major partner for the Games.

The road cycling events hosted by West Park in Wolverhampton and St Nicholas Park in Warwick, will be on Thursday 4th August and Sunday 7th August. Sutton Park will host the triathlon on day one and day three and Victoria Park will host the Lawn Bowls for nine days straight.

A more detailed version of the schedule including a session by session breakdown will be unveiled in the coming months.
