A Birmingham teenager has been charged with terrorism offences.
Shaan Farooq, 18 and from Birmingham, was charged with one count of possessing terrorist material and three counts of distributing terrorist material.
He will appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (13th February).
He was arrested last year alongside Amir El-Harith. The 19-year-old, from Smethwick, was charged in March with:
- Three counts of distributing terrorist publications
- Three offences of encouraging terrorism
- One offence of possession of information likely to be useful to someone committing or preparing an act of terrorism
