A shop in Birmingham had its licence revoked after serving a 15-year-old girl alcohol.
Councillors on the Licensing Sub Committee ruled for D&B Wine in Winson Green to have its licence revoked due to concerns expressed by West Midlands Police and Trading Standards.
D&B was accused of selling vodka and Lambrini to a 15-year-old girl. She was later found unconscious when police and ambulance services arrived at Summerfield Park on September 1.
Her friends told officers that she bought the alcohol from the Dudley Road-based shop.
Trading Standards told the committee that they issued a warning to the shop about under-age alcohol sales and then carried out a test purchase with help from a 14-year-old volunteer – which the shop also failed.
