Birmingham City could haul themselves into the play-off spots if they overcome Derby County.
Garry Monk’s men go into the game on the back of a fine run of form, but they will face a stern test at a County side who sit two points above them in the Championship table.
Harlee Dean is expected to be back in contention for Blues as they make the short trip to Derby, but the Birmingham manager believes his side will have to be at their best to come away with all three points.
“Derby have a high-quality squad, especially offensively,” Monk told the club website. “But even with that you still have to do the work and get the results and the performances.
“It’s another one where we’ve played these teams already especially away from home that on paper are a much better quality squad than us and much more expected to be where they are, and we’ve shown we can compete with these teams.
“It’s another opportunity to try and prove ourselves against a team that has set out its agenda to be promoted this year.”
