More than 41,000 applied for roles ahead of this summer’s Games to be held at multiple venues in Birmingham. Training will be taking place at the Birmingham Metropolitan College where volunteers will be assigned their roles varying from drivers, first aiders, meet and greeters, venue ‘preppers’ and many more. Birmingham is set to welcome back premier dog show Crufts – following a year’s absence. Organised and hosted by The Kennel Club, the canine extravaganza remains the largest show of its kind in the world.
