Aston Villa suffered their second defeat in a row as they went down 1-0 at QPR.
Dean Smith’s men had the lion’s share of the play for much of the game, but failed to convert their chances.
They paid the price after 38 minutes when Pawel Wszolek fired home.
Villa continued to push for a route into the game in the second period, but failed to find the net leaving their manager frustrated.
Smith told BBC Radio WM: “We we good and created some big chances.
“It is frustrating because we gave a poor goal away and did not make the most of our opportunities.
“We gave it everything and on another day we win that game 3-0. Sometimes it is small margins which separate you.”
