Six people have been arrested as part of a crackdown on gun crime across Birmingham.
The men have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences after police were called to Pine Avenue in Smethwick last night (August 23rd).
A car containing the group was then stopped on Aston Lane, Aston, at 2.25am.
Superintendent Mat Shaer said: “Our priority is to protect members of the community from people who carry weapons or commit crime.”
The men – aged between 17 and 19 – are being questioned by police.
