A man has been injured after shots were fired at a car in Birmingham.

The victim, in his 30s, remains in hospital with injuries which police say are not life-threatening.

The incident happened shortly after 6pm on Saturday (20th January) on Coventry Road in South Yardley.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “Investigators have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area.

“If you were driving on Coventry Road, Heybarnes Road or Hob Moor Road between about 5.45pm and 6.15pm, we’d ask you take a look at dashcam footage, as it may hold vital information to assist with enquiries.

“We understand such incidents can be upsetting and unsettling and our neighbourhood teams are continuing to carry out extra patrols in the area to offer reassurance.”

Investigators have set up a special online portal for anyone to send over information or dashcam footage atĀ Public Portal (mipp.police.uk).
