Drivers are being warned of delays due to overnight closures of the M6 in the Midlands.

Resurfacing work will take place between junctions nine and 11 of the northbound carriageway overnight on weekdays from 15th November until 16th December.

National Highways said the essential maintenance work would mean motorists having to use a diversion route from junction seven at Great Barr to use the M5 before returning to the M6.

The northbound carriageway will also be closed tonight (11th November) from 10pm until 6am.

A National Highways spokesperson said: “Drivers are advised to allow extra time for journeys in the area or choose another route if possible while the work takes place.”
