Birmingham’s Resorts World Arena will host a live two-hour show later this month to raise money to support families in Ukraine fleeing the devastating conflict.

The event will donate 85% of ticket costs to the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, where DEC charities and local partners will provide food, water, shelter and medical assistance to those in need.

Nile Rogers, Tom Odell, and The Kingdom Choir will be performing alongside previously verified performances from Ed Sheeran, Camilla Cabello, Emeli Sandé and Snow Patrol.

Artist Emeli Sandé, said: “I will be singing to try to help every human being forced to flee their home and in solidarity with those being racially discriminated against even within this humanitarian crisis.

“Nobody should be refused access to relief, aid and the right to cross the border to safety, and I’m pleased for the chance to support the DEC’s appeal to help all people whose lives have.”

Heart FM’s Emma Bunton is set to host the evening with Capital FM’s Roman Kemp and Marvin Humes.

Tickets have been released for sale today as of midday for the event taking place on March 29, with exclusive broadcast on ITV HUB and STV Player.

Alison Boateng, an Ed Sheeran fan who is due to attend, said: “I’m aware that I’m not able to make a massive difference myself, but by many people making small donations, I imagine that it can help more than we realise.

“This is an opportunity for many people to show their support by attending and I’m very happy that I’ll be there.”
