Charles Hanson, who is a regular face on shows such as Bargain Hunt, sold off a number of lots donated to Pathway for the special sale at Swinfen Hall Hotel near Lichfield.

The items under the hammer included a rare print signed by Lord Lichfield and designer dresses worn by actress Katherine Kelly.

Charles said: “I was delighted to support Pathway for the charity auction.

“There were amazing items donated for a great cause – the work Pathway does for families and children really matters.”

The auction follows the introduction of the Pathway Patrons scheme, which allows people to make donations to support the charity.

Pathway’s chief executive and founder Kathy Coe said: “Funding our work is getting harder, but we’re not sitting back.

“We are so grateful for the wonderful donations of the amazing auction items.

“Twelve new patrons have joined us and that will help us to have a sustainable flow of income year on year.”

For more information on becoming a Pathway Patron call 01543 442618 or email amandab@pathway-project.co.uk.
