Murder inquiry after woman dies in West Midlands


A murder inquiry has been launched after a woman died in her home in Netherton.

West Midlands Police and West Midlance Ambulance services responded to a call at 8.15pm on Wednesday 24th January.

She was pronounced dead at the scene at Cider Bank, just outside of Dudley.

A 50 year old man was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital, where he is recovering from head injuries.

Detective Inspector Paul Joyce, said: “We are in the very early stages of this enquiry, but at present we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the woman’s death.”

Police are asking for anyone with information to contact them on 101.
