Wai Yiu Chung’s design was chosen for the honour after winning a competition.

The jewellery graduate from Hong Kong said she was inspired to enter after reading about the stories of some of those helped by the Royal British Legion.

“I tried to keep my design simple, yet classic and representative,” said Wai Yiu, who graduated from Birmingham City University earlier this year.

“My infinity brooch is a classic two-red enamel petals poppy. It’s a symbol of remembrance, with sparkling details.

“It was such a great honour to win the competition.

“Being able to see my designs turned from 2D sketches into real products that are selling to the public is wonderful.

“It’s amazing that my designs are also able to help the currently serving veterans and their families.

Wai Yiu’s infinity brooch can be purchased for £14.99 from www.poppyshop.org.uk. All profits go to the Royal British Legion
