A man from Birmingham has been charged after a woman was injured in a car crash.

Josiah Johnson, of Copthall Road, Handsworth, has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, handling stolen goods, disqualified driving and possession of a bladed article.

He is also charged with failing to provide a breath specimen, failing to stop, possession of a class-B drug (cannabis) and driving without insurance.

The incident happened on the A5 in Cannock at 4.30pm yesterday (18th October) and involved a Ford Fiesta and a Citroen Picasso.

The crash left three children with minor injuries. A woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or may have dashcam footage, is asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 107 of 18 October.
