Birmingham City manager Garry Monk described his side’s win over Stoke City as “a huge three points”.
Blues leapfrogged the Potters in the Championship table after securing the victory and remain a point behind city rivals Aston Villa.
Che Adams was the hero for Birmingham after he stabbed home a Lukas Jutkiewicz cross with nine minutes remaining.
Monk said: “What a huge three points considering who we’re playing, away from home against one of the best squads in the league and very much fancied for promotion.
“The lads deserved it for a real gutsy display.”
