Police have revealed that a man who was found dead in his car last weekend had died from a single gun shot wound.
The victim has been named as 25-year-old Muhammed Sohail, also known as Sohail. He was found seriously injured in a car on Wright Road in Saltley, in the early hours of Saturday morning (19 February).
Paramedics arrived at the scene and despite their best efforts, he died at the scene.
His family said: “As a family, we feel great sadness and despair at the loss of our beloved Sohail.
“We ask anyone who has any information about the taking of Sohail’s life to contact the police.”
Detective Inspector Adam Jobson confirmed that his investigation team at West Midlands Police have also set up a dedicated contact portal for anyone who has information.
