‘Super Movers’ has been designed to inspire children throughout the UK to become more active physically and cognitively to assist in their learning process.

Craig Punfield, who is the Media and Marketing officer at the Albion Foundation said:

“For us as a foundation and a club, it is really exciting to be a part of the launch of Super Movers, and we are going to have Claudio Yacob and Salomon Rondon taking part in the launch this week at Tividale Primary school.”

“We are hoping to be able to get all the kids active and learning about more things like algebra and measurements and things like that.”

James Purnell, the Director of Radio and Education at the BBC, said:

“One fifth of children are overweight or obese when they begin school, increasing to a third by the time they leave primary school. We can only tackle this in a positive way.

“The benefits of activity for young children beyond just health and fitness can be huge – a few minutes of exercise are proven to improve concentration, behaviour and self-esteem. And it seems to help exam results too.”

The Super Movers partnership is being fronted by Gabby Logan, Alex Scott and Radzi Chinyanganya.

Albion Foundation along with Premier league stars Claudio Yacob and Salomon Rondon will be visiting Tividale Hall Primary School this Thursday, to officially launch the initiative.
