Man charged in connection with armed raids on Greggs bakeries across Birmingham

A man has been charged in connection with a series of armed robberies at Greggs bakeries across Birmingham.

Paul Bogle, from Long Lane in Sparkbook, is accused of attacking shops in Ward End, Weoley Castle, Druids Heath, Acocks Green and Erdington while brandishing a machete between February and July.a

The 40-year-old has been charged with five counts of robbery and one of possessing a bladed article in public.

He appeared before magistrates in Birmingham this morning (August 10th) and was remanded into prison ahead of his next appearance at Birmingham Crown Court on September 7.
