Sir Lenny Henry is calling on students to get bouncing for Comic Relief.
Birmingham City University will host The Big Birmingham Bounce at its city centre campus from 9am to 5pm on Friday (24th March).
The event will also feature appearances from the cast of Billy Elliot who are currently on tour at the Hippodrome and BCU students Capital B, who are currently starring in singing contest The Voice on ITV.
Comic Relief co-founder Sir Lenny, who is also chancellor of the university, said: “I hope you will all be supporting Comic Relief this Red Nose Day and helping us to make a huge difference to the lives of people in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest communities.
“I’m really pleased that Birmingham City University is putting on The Big Birmingham Bounce. It’s a fantastic way to raise awareness about our great cause and work up a bit of a sweat at the same time.
“I’d encourage everyone to head down to Birmingham City University and get bouncing.”
